Frequently Asked Questions:

What’s the difference between playing at a club and playing online?

Scrabble is a great social activity. Playing in real life is much more enjoyable than playing via a phone or computer.

Scrabble uses Collins dictionary. If a word is in Collins Scrabble Words, it’s allowed.  The full Collins list may be different to a dictionary that you’re used to.  If you play Words with Friends, it’s a little different but there is a lot of overlap.  Collins has an online checker here.

How much does it cost?

Some clubs are free. Others cost a few dollars.

What do I need to bring?

Just your brain! The club will have boards, tiles, everything you need.
