What’s the difference between playing at a club and playing online?
Scrabble is a great social activity. Playing in real life is much more enjoyable than playing via a phone or computer.
What words are allowed?
Scrabble uses Collins dictionary. If a word is in Collins Scrabble Words, it’s allowed. The full Collins list may be different to a dictionary that you’re used to. If you play Words with Friends, it’s a little different but there is a lot of overlap. Collins has an online checker here.
How much does it cost?
Some clubs are free. Others cost a few dollars.
What do I need to bring?
Just your brain! The club will have boards, tiles, everything you need.
